Plasmacure, a sparkling solution for chronic wounds

Plasmacure addresses the huge problem of the 3-4% of the world population suffering with chronic or non-healing wounds. Quality of life is reduced strongly for these patients. This number of patients increases with the aging of the population and the increase of patients with chronic diseases like diabetes.

Chronic wounds cause pain, have high risks of infection and lead to amputations (diabetic foot ulcers). The risk of death within 5 years after a foot or lower leg amputation is higher than for most cancers. Costs are exploding with an average cost per non-healing wound of €10.000. Any treatment that will heal these wounds will be a great relieve for these patients and a cost saving for the society.

The existing solutions for non-closing wounds are limited, and the market needs new solutions and modalities. Our proposition is to heal wounds with an effective, affordable and easy-to-use cold-plasma treatment.

Student company pitches

We continue this SMB meeting with a great February tradition: We welcome a number of student company pitches from Radboud University Panorama science course, who will pitch their proposition and are looking for feedback and help.
